ABOUT ME
My older brother Gregory introduced me to the Beatles song “Let It Be” when I was 10 years old. At that time I didn’t realize that it would serve as a mantra for acceptance and growth throughout my life. It’s been so powerful that I have chosen to name my practice “Let It Be…ME”. Anything we do starts with you. Let’s be where we need to be, and take care of ourselves so that we can nurture our relationships and life path.
I’d love to partner with you to lead you to the place where you’re meant to be. Let’s find your True North together. 💫
More about My path…
Welcome to my NOW! I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. All my titles give me such great pride and wonderful experiences. Each connection in my life has brought me to this place, each relationship has taught me so much about myself (ME).
My undergraduate work started with Computer Science and ended up with a BA in Finance all because that’s where the money and jobs were. Despite these choices, I always saw myself teaching or helping others. After receiving my graduate counseling degree, I worked at a domestic violence shelter working with children and adolescents dealing with trauma in their homes, offering parenting support and serving as an expert witness for children affected by witnessing abuse in their homes.
I then went on to work as a special education teacher working with High School students with developmental/intellectual disabilities for 12 years. There I ran classrooms such as Healthy Living, Mental Health Awareness, Vocational skills and Job Internships. This part of my journey was inspired by the loss of my younger brother Stephen, who was born with intellectual disabilities and seizure disorder. After Stevie died at 38 years old it felt like home to work with these wonderful students and humans who taught me more than I taught them. I felt as if Stevie was with me each day.
As I started to envision my next phase of life, I realized I was in a place where I was ready to help others in a way that made the best use of the peace and healing I had gained through the past years. Inspired by Martha Beck to live my truth and help others do the same, I completed the Martha Beck’s Wayfinders Life Coach training program in July 2022.
And that’s how I got to my “NOW”. If any piece of my story resonates with you, I would love to help you get to your “NOW”.
